Howdy all!

I dunno how many of you will remember, but about 6 months ago I described the situation of taking ownership of my Grandfather's 1998 FLSTC that hadn't moved in about 20 years. With some great advice from u/silverfox762 and u/mountaineer30680, we are home. A little unknown info at the time of last post: It's a 1998 Model first sold as new in 1999. My grandfather bought it used with 481 miles from a Navy man who they worked with. A funny story of how he brought it to Gdad's driveway and said he wasn't leaving with it.

I flew out to California Friday before last (4/3) to do family Easter shenanigans, stayed at their place til the following Friday (4/10). Got the bike shaped up in that time and hit the road east to TX, took the Odometer from 2208.6 to 3695.7 with three long days.

Some notes maybe you can give me some insight on:

The bike wants to go slow. I was getting at best 33mpg crossing the country sticking to 70mph the whole way. I know it's a '98 and a 5 speed and all, but I was surprised that running it up @80 drops the fuel mileage to around 22. which with a 3.8+1 gallon tank is not serviceable lol. Is this just what it is or does it sound like there may be an issue with the tuning?
