How to find a roommate? Help

as the title says, roommate season is nearly upon us. My current lease will be up for renewal soon, and my current roommate is moving out of state. We were friends for years and ended up needing a place at the same time, but now I'm at a loss!

1. where should I look?

2. how do I interview?

3. pros? cons?

4. should I just financially tank myself and find a single bedroom/studio?

its a 1250sq/ft 2bd 1.5bath so I think I could comfortably share it with somebody, even if we're not close friends like I have been blessed with!

any advice would be appreciated. lease ends June 30th, so I'll need to find a co-signer by May 30th. I think? the whole 30 day notice thing. yes I have a landlord group not private ownership.

currently paying $825 each, so $1650 total for this gem.
