Home Assistant integration for Orion Sleep
I built a Home Assistant (HACS) custom integration for the Orion Sleep topper. Sharing in case anyone else here runs HA.
Repo: https://github.com/tdickman/home-assistant-orion-integration
What you get (per topper):
- Power and Away Mode switches
- Climate entity for bed temperature
- 4 temperature sliders (bedtime / phase 1 / phase 2 / wake-up)
- Live heart rate, breath rate, and bed-occupancy sensors that update in realtime
- Sleep score, sleep stages, HRV, restless time, and the rest of your session stats
- Sleep-schedule sensors (bedtime, wake-up, duration, target temps)
Login uses the same email-or-phone + verification code as the Orion app.
Install: HACS → Custom repositories → paste the repo URL → category "Integration" → restart HA → add "Orion Sleep" from Settings → Devices & Services. Full steps in the README.
Heads up:
- Not affiliated with Orion.
- Bed-occupancy sensors lag the real event by ~30 s – 1 min (the topper itself is slow to decide someone sat down or left). Vitals are realtime.
- Climate "off" is a no-op — use the Power switch to actually shut the bed off.
- HRV is often blank in the data.
Bug reports and PRs welcome.
