If birthday parties are supposed to be fun… why do they sometimes feel a bit stressful too?

Yesterday I went to a small birthday party of my cousin and everything was decorated nicely. Balloons, cake, music, all set. I just stood there like okay… this looks good honestly.

After some time I noticed people running around managing things. Someone was fixing decorations, someone handling food. I was like it looks fun from outside but inside it takes alot of effort. I usualy just enjoy parties but never think about work behind it.

Later that night I was just laying and scrolling random stuff, checked many online marketplaces including alibaba and saw birthday party decorations. Some looked very fancy honestly. Now I am thinking if parties are more about fun or planning stress also comes with it.
