Help!? I am new to guinea pigs!

So…To preface this: My parents got my sister a guinea pig named Manny. Hes a male and was given away due to previous agression to cagemates.

My sister got fed by all the wheeking the piggy is doing and demanded that my parents put his cage out of her room. She doesn’t want him anymore and i am heartbroken and furious at her for just being so callous. She called him a thing. I am currently not speaking with her because of it.

Anyway. I am still dependent on my parents and don’t have a income. I am not in a position to get a second piggy right now and it breaks my heart tbh.

I would love to get him a cagemate if i would have the means to.

Now my parents asked me if i would take over the care of the piggy and if they could put his cage in my room i am still residing in. I am thinking of agreeing so he doesn’t have the fate of being rehomed so suddenly again. He already went through it once. What do i do?
