Need guidance on resort/park transportation

We are booking a trip for late January 2027 and were thinking of staying either at Port Orleans Riverside or Caribbean Beach. The Skyliner is scheduled to be closed during all or the majority of our trip. We will have an 8 year old and 5 year old. My questions:

1. How reliable is Disney’s construction planning? If they say the Skyliner will be down, will it actually be down then? Obviously it could be and I’m not banking on this.

2. Buses for POR seem manageable, especially if we stay on the alligator side. Which part of the Caribbean resort gets picked up first for bussing?
