accommodations as pregnant therapist?
Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m just looking for guidance/insight.
I’m in my second trimester of pregnancy and I work as a community mental health therapist in CA. We all know how that goes with stress and caseload expectations. Has anyone else been in this position and was able to get accommodations to manage their workload during pregnancy? My concern is driving around to homes and schools in the heat while pregnant and also the requirement of a high caseload adding to stress and inability to get proper breaks through the day. A coworker suggested asking my OB for only telehealth or in office clients and/or asking for a lower caseload requirement, but I’m not sure if any of that is actually possible. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!
