Help identifying this brass necklace — bought in Lisbon, unsure of origin
Hoping this community can help me track down the origin of my favorite festival necklaces. I'd love to find another before this one falls apart.
What I know:
- Bought in Lisbon, Portugal a few years ago
- Two-tiered design — two separate strands of different lengths joining at two brass ball terminals on each side
- Small round brass beads with flat, cast crescent/axe-shaped drops hanging between each bead
- Tiny decorative cross or floral motif at the top of each pendant where it connects
- Rolo chain extension in back with a hook-and-loop clasp
- Warm brass with an aged/oxidized patina
What I've considered: I've looked into Banjara, Kuchi, Kolhapuri Saaj, Bedouin Kirdan/Lazim, Dhokra, and Turkish/Anatolian tribal styles. There's visual kinship with several but nothing I've found is a dead-on match. The uniformity of the casting suggests it's a modern reproduction of a traditional form rather than a hand-forged piece.
Any ideas on origin, style name, or where to find something similar? Much appreciated.
