Best app for taking notes from PDF books on Apple Books without typing them out?

Currently I’m copy-pasting sentences from the Books app to the Notes app as I read. I would like to reduce the friction between reading and saving my highlights. What’s the best app (or combination of apps) that can help me accomplish this?

Thank you!
