London Marathon on Sunday (26 April 2026) - check bus / rail diversions & road closures if spectating

Transport

Blackheath and Greenwich Park have lots of metal barriers lined up ready to be installed for Sunday's event. If you're planning to watch the runners at various points around London here is some hopefully useful info. A steward at Greenwich Park told me yesterday that the park would be closed to the general public until midday but I've not found any information to confirm this (the park is used for the start of the marathon but I'd assume it would be accessible to spectators walking through).

Good luck runners :)
