Rented termite bait stations?

Spent 2200$ this time last year to get bait stations and a couple other minor things done around the house by a larger pest control company In my area.

They called me today to get a yearly inspection done and to renew their termite warranty for 350$ told them I’m good and can check all of the bait stations myself and I’m also not concerned with any termite damage since I got the bait stations and the foundation sprayed.

They essentially tried to bully me into renewing the contract by saying they’re going to come by and remove the bait stations since they’re “rented”. Told them to pound sand and I’d install my own bait stations.

Checked my paperwork and sure enough in the fine print they’re at liberty to essentially repo my bait stations I paid 2200$ for. Is this common? Definitely was not told by the sales guy I’d have to renew every year or else they’d take my shit away.
