Really loving my base

So im loving the customization on revenge of the savage planet. My only thing is, how the hell do you place things on the counters and tables? I already tried google but all it said was use free form placement? I cant see an option anywhere for that? Does that mean i cant oorrr what am i missing? Any help is appreciated!
