Everyone is overreacting regarding the BMPT
I think people are hella overreacting. I've both played the BMPT and played against it many times. Yes its good, its great but calling it unkillable is a lie, saying you can push with it aggressively is also a lie. One shot into the bottom playe, drivers optic or side is all it takes, its the exact same as any russian tank when it comes to survivability other than the unmanned gun and lack of a proper turret. Then again the FCS is VERY easy to hit. Yes you can push with it quite well and yes you can get a triple kill in it. Same with pretty much any tank, the opportunity to actually get a triple kill or fly around the map like a madman? Very low.
I get pushed or i push. One shot to the side, dead or heavily crippled.
I think people are concentrating on the wrong issues here, the BMPT isn't the issue, top tier in general is. There are far more tanks that are more OP than the BMPT for their BR.
This includes the SM, the T29, the Ho-Ri production and many more. I know for a fact the Ho-Ri and T29 are OP because I have them and they are insane compared to the BMPT. The T-29 and Ho-Ri are OP in every case. The BMPT is in certain situations. That's the truth.
Just because the BMPT is far more common than some other vehicles doesn't mean the vehicle is the issue, and if it is, so are many others.
Imagine a team full of T-80s VS a team full of Type 90's. Type 90's SHRED because of reload.
Or a team full of BMPT's VS a team full of Type 90's, Chall 2's or any other MBT. The MBT's would win on a head on. The BMPT's would if they played ratty but that's the case with every vehicle.
The issue is top tier, the issue is that because so many people play light tanks and IFV's, the BMPT's shred because they have auto cannons.
