Should I tell my daughter about my biological family?
so to summarize my life I went 20 years thinking I am biologically my parents turns out I’m not my real mother was a crackhead who gave me away she’s the crazy aunt and she also had 3 daughters but she decided to keep them. I have a 7 year old daughter at the moment who absolutely loves her grandparents and there isn’t a reason not to but I’ve been a little distant with them since I found out the truth. I’m now 23 and reached out to my middle sister who is currently in Mexico and she told me she wants to move here to Texas to live with us and I’m happy but a little worried about how I’m gonna explain this random ass girl moving with us. my daughter doesn’t know any of our family from Mexico so shell be a new person to meet but I just don’t know how to introduce her. I don’t know If I want to even tell my daughter I’m adopted because it honestly came with a lot of trauma but I don’t want to hurt my sisters feelings and tell my daughter she’s just a friend.. I’m so lost and not sure how to do this..acknowledging her as my sister hurt my adoptive parents feelings but that’s exactly what she is but then telling my young daughter her grandparents aren’t biologically hers might damage her the same way it damaged me ( she’s also really damn sensitive and empathetic I think more than any normal 7 year old) when I found out the truth.. fuck this is alot of anyone can give any advice id really appreciate it.
