Error code 21, starting issues

TL;DR error code 21 crank position sensor issue causing starting issues when bike is cold.

Went to go and get on the bike this evening and it didn't start right away with a press of the starter, took three attempts and check engine light is now illuminated and on solid, check the code and it's an error code 21 For the crank position sensor, I have checked

The battery voltage both standing and on starting, it's 12.7v standing and drops to 11v when starting

I have also checked the starter switch, have sprayed some wd-40 into the housing and cycled the button with the bike off

I have attempted to find the crank position sensor connector on the loom to see if it's corroded but to no avail before darkness set in

The bike doesn't have the issue starting when it's warm and has been ridden, only on a cold start does this Happen

Any advice would be much appreciated
