So is the Tau update at the end of this year?

I'm confused, I thought that the next major update is about us going to Tau and I really thought that the new raijlack content would be there. Why does this feel like a side quest? Honesty can't wait to see how this somehow ties into the story. Like why would we go into the future, or maybe it will be like roathe and leon and marie where they just come to our universe for no reason.
