Thoughts 🍔🍟

I think she genuinely prefers fast food over the effort of grocery shopping, meal prepping, or planning meals. I don’t really understand it, because working part time seems like it would give her more flexibility with her time. To me, it feels like she prioritizes immediate convenience and enjoyment over things like financial stability or long-term planning. She’s even said before that she’d rather pursue makeup than go to college or work a traditional desk job, which reflects that mindset.

She also compares herself to a 21 year old college student to justify how much she spends on fast food, even though their lifestyles really aren’t comparable beyond age. It seems like she intentionally budgets a portion of her money for fast food, and her husband doesn’t appear to mind, so it’s just become their normal routine.

I can understand relying on fast food sometimes, I do it too when I’m busy with a demanding full time schedule. But for me, it’s easy to avoid because I don’t actually enjoy it. No matter how cheap or convenient it is, the quality and taste just aren’t worth it to me.

For her, though, it’s different. She likes the taste, doesn’t cook, and avoids grocery shopping and meal planning altogether, so it makes sense that she ends up in the drive thru almost every day.

I know this topic is overdone, but it really seems like she’s completely comfortable prioritizing eating out over everything else. Instead of saving for a car, covering rent and bills, looking for a bigger apartment, or even investing in makeup, things she’s said are her goals... food seems to come first every time. And I get it, everyone needs to eat and convenience is tempting, but it also feels like those longer term priorities keep getting pushed aside. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like she cooks or even grocery shops much at all, which probably plays a big role in that pattern.
