Do I need access to a med school in undergrad..?

Everyone's telling me I need the clinical access to a med school when I'm in undergrad for pre med. I'm trying to decide between schools (UCSD, UC Davis, SDSU, or Cal Poly SLO for biology). I'm a first year.
