🔮 App Review

I'm a sophomore entering my junior year so I know I still have time and that it's hard to give someone feedback without a MCAT score. This semester's been kind of rough and I wasn't as productive as I wanted to be, so it's making me a little anxious (like avg pre-med anxiety). I was just looking for some commentary on what I could improve going forward.

Stats: GPA: 3.95

Here are the activities I'm involved/have been involved in:

  1. Cancer Research (400 hours so far, 1 poster presentation)

  2. Mentor for teens getting their GED (110 hours, didn't do it this sem but want to start again in the fall)

  3. Community Health Worker (350 hours for 3 semesters, love it so much and plan on doing this until I graduate)

  4. Homeless Shelter kitchen volunteer (120 hours so far)

  5. Student run magazine editor, in charge of 3 writers (70 hours so far; 2 semesters)

  6. Health Educator at Homeless shelter (80 hours so far)

  7. About to start a part time 20 hours a week job as a Support Technician at my school's hospital (I want to apply to be a scribe at the ER but probably not until the fall sem for spring)

  8. 40 hours of Shadowing (Pediatrician and Oncologist, I plan to increase these hours over the summer)

I think my biggest anxiety is that I haven't had the time to really invest into a club and potentially get a leadership position, and it might be too late for that. Now that orgo hell is over, I really want to do a few random clubs this fall just for fun, but I'm not sure that'll lead to anything substantiative in terms of leadership. Do you guys think that's going to be a glaring weakness in my application? Please let me know! I'm sorry if anything in this post comes off as neurotic or annoying, it's just been bothering me a little. Thanks in advance guys!
