Love the Warden but im struggling without a good AOE

So, ive been playing the warden for a few days and i love it, but i definitely struggle when im dealing with multiple mobs at once. Sure, theres the subpar ice shards skill, but eh lol.

For those who have played the warden long term, is it fun in later levels, and are there actual skills im missing to give that aoe advantage? The bear is super helpful as a tank, so i dont die quickly, unless we get overwhelmed.
