Us visa (curiosity)

Hiii guys what are the chances I'd get denied for a us visa??? My mom and I want to go to the us, this December I have my passport and everything just don't know when is the best time to make an appointment? How long will it take to get my visa if it is approved? I've read a lot of testimonials on here about people getting denied and wondering if I may have a percentage of getting the same faith please let me know what you guys think I'm genuinely curious
