Is it possible to befriend jibanyan via streetpass?

So im currently doing the professor oak challenge in yokai watch one (befriend all yokai available prior to beating the boss of that chapter). I require two jibanyan but hes only available via excitement coins which there are limited off and have a 1% chance for u to pull him, and the infinite inferno which is in post game, does anyone know if i can befriend via streetpass?
