General anesthesia/breathing tube..a way around it?

The surgeon I seen for one appointment recommended I get an endometrial biopsy . Because of traumatic stuff I will go into full panic mode. She requested to do it without anesthesia but I told her I refuse to have it done otherwise. I cannot do it and experience the pain down there. So they're wanting to put me completely sleep and a breathing tube . They're going to do a pap smear during all this.

Is there potentially any other pain management I can request where I won't feel any of this? Because the idea of being put to sleep and something down my throat is not ideal either while being messed with down there
