Senior dog broke canine tooth, What should I do?

Hi all,

My 13-year-old Pomeranian seems to have broken a part of his canine teeth. The tooth is basically split less than half and there’s a red very small spot visible in the center.

He’s still acting pretty normal (eating, walking, no obvious signs of pain),
I’ve attached a photo here:

• Does this look like an exposed nerve/pulp?
• In cases like this, is extraction usually the only option, especially given his age?

Would really appreciate any advice or similar experiences.
