Has anyone had Mohs surgery?

My regular dermatologist referred me to another dermatologist to discuss surgery options for my stage three HS. I was given the option of Mohs surgery, typically used to remove cancerous growths (less invasive), or plastic surgery. It would be for my armpits to start. I'm getting a referral for the Mohs surgeon first (who can potentially refer me to the plastic surgeon if they think that would be better), but I haven't really heard of that being used as a treatment for HS so I was wondering if anyone has had it done? If so, how did it work out for you?
