Finally!

I’ve always loved the training competitive pokemon side of things in normal games but never really dove into the competitive scene (as strange as that might seem). This team grew from originally just one of my favourite Pokemon - skarmory, and a bunch of random others, to this! I think for the most part they are fairly “meta” but it was a big learning curve for me and a lot of mistakes were made on the way.

From being swept by a sword dance user because my fat snorlax is still asleep, to being completely out-sped out of nowhere and having no idea why. I think I’ve learnt a lot which has made it super fun.

There are definitely a lot of holes in the team (which may just be misplays from me tbh). To note a few:

Mimikyu - gave me a lot of trouble. I know the option for water shuriken is there for greninja but the low roles kept driving me insane when I just needed a hard hitting STAB.

Meganium - bit hit and miss really. Sometimes it just got too ahead of me and became a wall. (Likely misplays).

Basculegion - always always got the better of me.

The team originally was very random when I was first learning. I was carrying a Clefairy for a while but could never make use of it. Using dragonite with no knowledge on what I should and shouldn’t be doing with it. I also used manectric for a short while which tbh is one I would like to revisit.

MVP would have to go to skarmory. Especially in the lower tiers when people don’t expect the body press. Nothing more satisfying than squishing people with a metal bird - BONK!

Honourable mention to Google and all the Pokemon websites out there. I’ve gained a new skill of speed typing from competitive Pokemon. Having to google moves I’ve never heard of or speed tiers on the fly was 1. A great way to learn but 2. Very stressful!

Let me know what you guys think of the team. Hit me with any advice you might have :)

Master ball finally!
