Jenn-Air ice maker receiving 15V instead of 110V - Main Control Board failure?
A friend has a Jenn-Air French Door Refrigerator w/bottom freezer Model #JFC2089HPF which no longer makes ice. The in-fridge water dispenser works. The upper control display works properly and both the fridge and freezer maintain proper temperature. The ice maker was replaced by someone else, but apparently wasn't the issue.
The measured voltage between White & Black in the ice maker connector at the rear of the freezer compartment is only 15V and I believe it is meant to be line voltage (110V).
Is this a symptom/failure mode of a bad main control board? What are other possible causes and how can I narrow down what needs to be replaced? I have a digital multimeter and can do basic electronic soldering, but am not an electronics tech or EE. Looking at the wiring diagram, I don't see any other likely culprits. I did a quick visual inspection of the main control board and didn't see any burnt traces or exploded components, but I'm sure it can fail in other ways.
Unfortunately, the main control board seems to be discontinued by Maytag, so it's going to be some trouble to replace / repair, so I don't want to waste the time if I'm on the wrong track.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
