I moved into a hotel today with 2 weeks paid, after a year that almost broke me

Today I moved into a hotel.

I paid for 2 weeks.

That’s all I can afford right now.

This is not where I imagined I’d be.

Over the past year, life hit me hard.

Financial pressure, uncertainty, and a constant feeling that everything was working against me.

I stayed with a friend and his family for 4 months. I’m grateful for that, genuinely.

But I knew I couldn’t stay there forever.

I needed my own space, even if it’s temporary like this.

A few days ago, I got paid $1200 for a service I delivered. I used $600 to clear part of my debt, handled some personal responsibilities, and ended up with about $500 left.

Instead of stretching it thin or pretending things were okay, I used it to secure these 2 weeks.

It feels like both a step forward and a reminder of how far I still have to go.

2025 was one of the darkest years of my life.

There were moments I didn’t see a way out.

Moments where the thought of ending everything felt louder than anything else.

I felt alone.

I felt stuck.

I questioned everything, even my faith.

Then on December 28, something shifted.

The idea for an AI publishing platform came to me. I didn’t overthink it. I just started.

By January 4, I told a friend about it. He believed in it enough to invest.

By January 13, we had an MVP ready. We launched it on WarriorPlus because I thought I could tap into affiliate marketers there.

The first sale came in.

Then Stripe suspended my account.

That moment almost broke me again.

I had notified them before launching.

They approved it. Then right after the first buyer, everything got shut down.

It felt unfair.

Frustrating.

Like I couldn’t catch a break.

But I didn’t stop.

We pivoted and used a friend’s Stripe account. Started over. Made more sales. Not a lot, but enough to prove people wanted what we built.

Then things went quiet.

We moved away from WarriorPlus, turned it into a SaaS, rebranded, and started testing content to grow. Months later, we’re still trying to break through. It feels like shouting into the void sometimes.

But here’s the truth.

That project gave me a reason to keep going.

It gave me something to wake up for when everything else felt meaningless.

Right now I’m still in the middle of it.

Still figuring things out.

Still dealing with debt.

Still trying to get stable.

Still trying to make this work.

But I’m not where I was before.

And even though this moment feels heavy, I’m starting to believe that maybe everything I’ve been through is shaping me for something bigger.

I don’t have it all figured out yet.

But I’m still here.

And for now, that has to count for something.
