please help

hi,

i’m trying to get sims 4 running properly again on my mac with all dlc installed, but i’m completely stuck. since anadius put his pirating excursions to the side & left the sims community i have had the hardest time trying to figure out how to work everything out using aaros (bless him). i love this game, i used to play it for hours on end before anadius left & the updater gave out. im back to play it and now im just lost. i simply cannot work out how to get anything working.

literally nothing makes sense to me & i have tried everything. i know it's such a pain in the ass with a million and ten people coming on here every day and asking the same questions but i have actually tried it all. ive tried wineskin, downloading the updater through mirror sites, looking into csrin, downloading packs manually, renaming and extracting files because for some reason my macbook buries the actual dlc folders like 2 layers deep inside the normal ones, and just trying to piece things together however i can. ive even ended up trying other random download sources out of frustration. and still, nothing works. im met with a constant flow of error messages within my laptop, my files, and my game. i can't tell if im genuinely braindead or if aaros's tools simply don't work with mac. i will actually pay one of you to just give me a rundown on how to get the updater working & successfully get the dlc so my game runs normally because i am not paying my monthly rent just for the dlc. ive put give or take like 72 hours into figuring this out and nothing will cooperate with me.

im desperate so if anyone is willing to take some time out of their day to help me out it would mean a lot to me. thank you
