Does story like this exist: 1st pov possession story (kind of)?

I've come to this idea, and it feels that something like this could be out there.

Guy starts noticing that he is losing time. He is not sure what he did during that time. Has interactions with people who seem to know more than him. I like the idea of mystery and piecing everything together. It can go in different direction, horror, mind control, fantasy.

I've read a horror book, Come Closer by Sara Gran. In the book it's about demon possession from pov of a person, very plot driven, not that scary, but interesting concept. I would like to see different takes on similar idea. Has anyone done it.
