Why is it so hard to obtain a new grad position in NYC?

I have since March 15, 2026 applying (this is when I received my license), and all the job postings I encounter “NO NEW GRADS” “EXP PREFERRED/REQ’d” It is so discouraging.

I have utilized my spare time to stack certifications:

* BLS/ACLS/PALS

* Infection Control

* NIHSS

* Opioid Pain & Management Control

* ECG

Besides that, I have 7+ years in the healthcare field. It’s been so hard.

Any tips? Any help? Any anything! Lol
