why do they keep referencing ‘the show’ in s16 it feels a bit off

So many times throughout s16 i’ve heard porsha and shames repeatedly mention being “on the show” and it just feels a bit off to me to keep repeatedly mentioning it .

does anyone feel it takes away an aspect of the season because im pretty sure they never did this before in previous seasons
