I was trying to figure out what the hell the rams were doing with picking Ty Simpson with pick 13.

Note, I don’t think he’s a bad QB and will definitely develop well under McVay and Stafford but McVay’s apprehension on the phone call got me thinking. What if we’re talking about sabotage?

What if the rams knew that Arizona and the Jets wanted Ty Simpson so they took him (in doing so taking the only other viable QB prospect in this class) to trade him to one of those teams for an already proven player to help them win now. It’s a ridiculous theory I know, but this whole off-season has been win-now and I don’t see why they’d suddenly go away from that unless Les Snead has some master plan. Who exactly? I don’t know, but I could see it happening.

On the other hand Stafford will retire soon and they will need a replacement and Les Snead and Ty’s father are old chums so maybe they’re keeping him around. Fans also never have any idea what they hell they are talking about, but I think it would be a cool turn of events from all this.

Anyways, there’s still nothing to worry about. There really was nothing we needed and we’re still Super Bowl favorites with an amazing defense and offense so I’m still hype.
