They really should have had Michael's time in NYC during the late 70's in the movie.

Just got back from watching the movie and enjoyed it. I thought a few things should have been included to round it out and give it more depth. The main thing I thought they should have included is Mike's time in NYC. It was the first time he had been living alone, though LaToya came out for a bit to keep him company and watch over him. From what I read, he said that was the happiest time in his life. He was going out to clubs, filming the Wiz, and his romance with Stephanie Mills would have added a lot to a good movie.
