More Walgreens Gift Card Issues

So my March Walgreens GC I was able to get the GC number and Pin Code, add it to my Walgreens wallet in app, and successfully use it on a prescription pick up.

The April gift card, no matter what I do (mobile or on PC), Walgreens errors out "this gift card cannot be added". Even though I checked Walgreens' own gift card website: https://walgreens.myretailcard.com/ and see $10 of value there.

Today tried to use it in person, no dice. I showed them the gift card and barcode in my Apple Wallet and on the vcdelivery URL. The store associate said their manager doesn't let them scan barcodes on phones, and doesn't believe I have a real gift card on my phone. The manager comes and says the same thing, that they can only scan physical or printed gift cards, what the hell?

I feel like the amount of hoops you have to jump through to use this $10 is not worth it at all, and is a total letdown to be honest. Anyone else have issues?
