Does anyone know if your on a family plan, if the account holder can somehow access information you do on your phone?

Absolutely have nothing to hide but my boyfriend is crazy and abusive. I've heard for years about downloading hidden spy apps on phones. Does anyone know if being an account holder on a family plan would give him access to text content and phone calls? I appreciate any help.
