My Wrestlemania Rebooking Series: Part 30 (Wrestlemania 38: Night Two)

RK-Bro © vs Alpha Academy vs Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Championships

(After Wrestlemania 37, Randy Orton & Matt Riddle engage in a brief feud. They have a match at Backlash where Orton defeats Riddle. However, Riddle seems to earn Orton's respect & Orton acknowledges Riddle. Riddle uses this to slowly build a friendship with Orton that leads to them winning the Raw Tag Team Championships. They briefly lose the titles to Alpha Academy in early 2021 but regain them on Raw a few weeks before Wrestlemania. Alpha Academy petitions for a rematch while The Street Profits also look to challenge for gold. A triple threat is made to satisfy all three teams. The match is a certified banger & ends after Gable goes for a moonsault onto Orton but Orton catches him with an RKO in mid-air. Afterwards, Orton & Riddle celebrate with Kurt Angle; who was sat at ringside. Gable interrupts the celebration & gets into Angle's face but gets hit with the Angle Slam and is put into the Ankle Lock by the Olympic Gold Medalist.)

Bobby Lashley vs Omos

(Bobby Lashley walks into the #1 Contendership WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match but he's suddenly struck with an injury after being yeeted out of the chamber. Lashley tries to ignore his injury and return to Raw for his title, but his manager MVP advises him against it. MVP tells Lashley that he is no condition to compete at all. MVP advises for Lashley to take his time to recover even if he has to miss Wrestlemania. Lashley ignores his advice. On the other hand, Omos is on an absolute dominant streak & calls anyone out who can beat him at Wrestlemania. This leads Omos to Lashley. The two forces of nature collide on the Raw before Wrestlemania with Omos laying Lashley out. MVP tells Lashley to take some more time to recover because fighting Omos is like committing career suicide, but Lashley refuses to listen. Omos & Lashley end up colliding at Wrestlemania. After a fun hoss fight, Lashley runs the ropes to spear Omos...but MVP CATCHES LASHLEY WITH HIS CANE! Lashley reels in shock from the pain and locks dead at his treacherous manager. He's about to go kick MVP's ass but Omos grabs him and drills him with several chokeslams in a row. Omos covers Lashley and scores a shocking victory. Afterwards, Omos is joined by MVP in the ring & the two celebrate Omos' huge win.)

Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn in a Jackass Rules match

(Johnny Knoxville returns to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2022 Royal Rumble. He gets into it with Sami Zayn & surprisingly eliminates Zayn. Zayn throws a fit & lays Knoxville out so Omos can gorilla press him out of the ring & through an announce desk. Knoxville makes several disparaging posts about Zayn on social media which causes Zayn to disrupt Knoxville's appearance at the Jackass Forever premiere. Knoxville makes his next appearance after costing Zayn an Intercontinental Championship match against Shinsuke Nakamura. Zayn absolutely loses his mind and challenges Knoxville to a match at Wrestlemania. Knoxville accepts with the stipulation made as "Jackass Rules". Knoxville & Zayn have an incredibly silly but fun match that ends after Zayn is trapped in a mouse trap. Knoxville pins the trapped Zayn to score the win.)

Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan © vs Naomi & Sasha Banks vs Natalya & Shayna Baszler vs Queen Zelina & Carmella for the Womens’ Tag Team Championships

(Around the beginning of 2022, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan form a tag team with each other. They bond over their past of being burned by former partners (Ripley by Nikki Cross & Morgan by Ruby Riott). They quickly win the Womens' Tag Team titles and dub themselves as "Liv 4 Brutality". They quickly find themselves surrounded by hungry tag teams. Natalya & Baszler reunite from their days in the Four Horsewomen in 2019, Naomi & Banks reunite from their Team BAD days in 2015, and Zelina & Carmella are the scorned former champions looking to regain their titles. After a good four way, the match ends when Banks and Naomi pin Morgan after hitting her with a wheelbarrow/Codebreaker combination. Banks & Naomi celebrate their massive win...with this also serving as the final Wrestlemania match for Sasha before her release. Also to note, Ripley's frustration causes her to walk out on Morgan for taking the pin.)

Edge vs AJ Styles

(Edge & Styles both make an appearance in the 2022 Royal Rumble. They have a staredown much like they did in 2020 when Edge returned. However, Styles accidentally "injures" (kayfabe injury, don't worry) Edge during a Styles Clash. Edge is actually escorted out of the Rumble match with a remorseful Styles watching on. Edge returns about a month later & cuts an emotional promo; teasing retirement. Styles comes out to apologize to Edge and bury the hatchet. Edge and Styles hug...until EDGE HITS STYLES WITH A LOW BLOW! Edge brutally assaults Styles & caps it off with two con-chair-tos. Edge explains his actions by saying that he had all the time in the world to think after being carried off from the Rumble. Edge says he refuses to be weak or vulnerable again. Edge says his decades of experience put him on a mountain of omnipotence all on his own. Edge says he will never be held back again & will make Styles pay for what he did. Styles calls Edge crazy and says he doesn't regret what he did anymore. After a match for Wrestlemania is made official, Styles promises to slap some sense into Edge. Edge & Styles have a great match that ends when Styles goes for the Phenomenal Forearm...but Edge crotches him in the ropes. Edge drags Styles to the middle of the ring and drills him with two Impaler DDTs to score the win.)

“Demon” Finn Balor © vs Damian Priest for the United States Championship

(Finn Balor makes his return to Raw in the middle of 2021 to moderate success. Around February 2022, Balor defeats Damian Priest to capture the United States Championship. Priest, who had spent the last few months struggling with his own morality, completely snaps and lays Balor out with a vicious attack. Priest says he refuses to listen to the angel on his shoulder any longer and only answers to Damian. Priest wins his way into a US title rematch & promises to destroy Balor. Balor acknowledges the threat that this new version of Damian Priest poses. He says that he will have to tap into the deepest, darkest version of himself to defeat Priest. But Balor promises this will happen and he will make Damian pay for what he did. Balor follows through on his promise by bringing THE DEMON back to life for the first time since Summerslam 2019! Priest puts up a fantastic effort against a still-wounded Demon, who suffered at the hands of The Fiend in his last performance. But Balor perseveres & retains his title after several Coup de Graces. Balor celebrates with his United States title as a furious Priest lashes out at ringside...clearly in need of guidance.)

Roman Reigns (WWE) vs Brock Lesnar (Universal) in a Last Man Standing match to unify the WWE Championship & Universal Championship

(Roman Reigns spends the spring & summer of 2021 as a busy man. He unifies his Bloodline by fully indoctrinating both Usos under his rule. He also defends his WWE title against legends like Rey Mysterio, Edge, and John Cena. After defeating Cena at Summerslam, Reigns is shockingly confronted by a returning BROCK LESNAR! On the following episode of Smackdown, Lesnar reveals that he was brought back into the WWE by....Paul Heyman?! Heyman profusely denies these accusations to his Tribal Chief; but the seeds of dissention are clearly planted. Reigns & Lesnar have their first match against each other at Crown Jewel. Heyman throws a chair in the ring...but it's unclear on who he meant to give the chair to. Lesnar ends up with control and lights Reigns up until The Usos run out & save Reigns; allowing him to retain his title. Lesnar is suspended by Adam Pearce on the next episode of Smackdown after attacking everyone around him to get revenge on Reigns.

Reigns has several fun defense including a 3v3v3 Survivor Series match against The New Day & a TLC match against Jeff Hardy on Smackdown. After defeating Hardy, Lesnar makes his return & it's announced that he will be facing Reigns for the WWE title on the Day 1 PLE. Unfortunately, Reigns is forced to forfeit due to contracting COVID-19. Lesnar instead faces Sami Zayn in a fun squash match. Lesnar also loses his match with Reigns after Seth Rollins is declared as #1 Contender for the WWE title. Lesnar is compensated with a Universal title match against Big E at Royal Rumble; which he wins. As for Reigns, he loses his Universal title match against Rollins by DQ after losing his mind and not breaking a rope break. Reigns also controversially enters and WINS the 2022 Royal Rumble from the #30 spot.

With Reigns as the WWE Champion and the Royal Rumble winner, he says he's going to steal Wrestlemania from the fans and refuses to defend his title against anyone. Adam Pearce takes exception and creates an Elimination Chamber match to crown a #1 Contender for Reigns' championship. At the PLE, Brock Lesnar defends the Universal title against Kevin Owens. He also crashes the chamber, lays Bobby Lashley out, & steals his spot to win the match to face Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. Lesnar also puts his Universal title on the line to prove himself as the better champion. The next few weeks prove to be a chaotic mess with Lesnar & The Bloodline beating each other to hell and disrupting Smackdown. Adam Pearce has enough of it and announces that Reigns & Lesnar's Wrestlemania match will be their LAST match. And to make sure we have a definitive winner, it will be a LAST MAN STANDING match! The match ends up being possibly one of the most chaotic in WWE history. One of the highlights comes when Lesnar flips half the ring over using a tractor he drove down to the ring. In the end, Reigns reigns supreme and is the last man standing. Wrestlemania ends with Reigns holding the WWE Championship AND the Universal Championship above his head with Lesnar laid out as just another body in his wake.)
