"The Mimic" is one of the longest running folklore stories from the medium-sized town of Hurricane, Utah. It was originally started in 1979 (exact date unknown), when local hikers started reporting seeing a quote, unquote "Robot running wild in the forest", which attacked most of the known witnesses. The only exception was a group of children, who were on a school trip. The teacher was found dead, stuffed inside animal remains.

Overtime, more and more reports started coming to the police. Officer Isaac Dunn (23M as of incident) has been sent to the Dixie National Forest to investigate. Officer Dunn found footsteps of the robot (https://imgur.com/a/bTGIh94) and used tools the robot has most likely using to upgrade itself. Tomorrow, Officer Dunn's police radio would give it's final message.

On the 11th of October 1979, Officer Dunn pleaded for help on his radio.

Transcript;

Isaac.D: "Is anyone there?! I need help!" \*Squeak heard in the background."

Isaac's radio picks up and the other end rings for a second, until the department Anwsers, with:

"There is no one coming for you, Isaac."

I.D: "This isn't.. \*heavy breathing\* a joke! I'm bleeding and it's chasing me!"

Heavy breathing for around a minute until officer Dunn screams, and his radio disappeared forever. None of the operators working that night remember what happened. Upon investigation, dozens of Police Officer's disappeared, found stuffed in animal remains. The forest was deemed an unsafe area under 24/7 surveillance and the case was closed. After about 20 years, The Mimic was assumed dead. After all, robots, especially old ones shut down while out of battery. The Dixie National Forest has since then become a tourist attraction after The Mimic's rampage, journalist Jonathan Smith wandered into the forest at night to film a documentary while shooting scenes in the infamous places where victims of The Mimic's murders were last seen or located. When turning a corner Jonathan's camera picked up the picture from the post, and the journalist was never seen again, and neither was The Mimic.

The Mimic is one of the strangest stories told in Hurricane, Utah. No one can truly tell if what was seen was fabricated, or faked to scare people. If you have ANY information on The Mimic, we suggest you share it to the world, and the authorities.
