[Tool] RPG Content Generator — N8N workflow that makes full NPCs, quests & encounters in 15 sec (with example output)

Hey r/DungeonMasters,

I built a workflow automation tool that generates fully structured, immediately usable RPG content from a single API call. Sharing it today since it's Friday [promo rules].

Here's an actual output — Captain Marten Valdris, "The Gray Hand":

Captain of the Eastwall District Watch. A weathered man in his late forties, salt-and-pepper beard kept military-short, prominent scar bisecting his left eyebrow. Missing the last two fingers on his left hand — makes no effort to hide them.

Personality: Weary pragmatist who believes the city is a sinking ship. Ruthlessly fair — takes bribes from everyone equally, which he considers a form of justice. Protective of "his people": civilians, his guardsmen, even certain criminals who follow the rules.

Secret: Fifteen years ago, he watched his captain take a bribe that got six guards killed. He killed that captain in what was ruled a training accident. He's been taking bribes ever since — but no bribe has ever cost a civilian their life. That's the line. He doesn't know what happens to him if he crosses it.

First impression scene: The party finds him mid-interrogation — not of a suspect, but of a merchant who shortchanged one of his guardsmen. "You'll pay the difference, plus a silver for his dignity. Or I'll find six reasons to audit your warehouse." He notices the party watching, and without turning: "Office hours are over. Unless you're here to pay a fine or report a murder, come back tomorrow."

Quest hook: He approaches the party privately. A body was found in his district with a noble's signet ring stuffed in its mouth — message, not robbery. He can't investigate upward. They can.

That's from one call. Takes about 15 seconds. Also generates quests with 3 possible endings, encounters with tactical layouts, and locations with built-in quest hooks.

Works with D&D 5e, Pathfinder, OSR, Shadowrun, CoC — just change the system field.

Requires N8N (self-hostable, free) + Anthropic API key (~$0.02/generation, unlimited runs).
