Hi everyone,

I just bought my first 3D printer, a Creality K2 Pro. The main goal is to eventually start printing automotive parts, but I’m hitting a wall early on.

Out of the box, it came with a 0.5kg reel of Creality Hyper PLA. I printed the Benchy and it was perfect.

However, the store gave me a deal on two reels of Ender Series PLA. I decided to give one a spin and it’s been a total nightmare: stringing, clogging, and that general "new toy is broken" panic.

I’ve spent two days troubleshooting and have tweaked my settings to try and make it work. I’ve currently got it set to:

Temp: 205°C with bed off except for the first layer and fans on full blast.

Using Creality Slicer

Speed: 150 mm/s

Max Volumetric Speed: 12 mm³/s

Hardware: I've even been printing with the case open to help with cooling.

I can finally get it to finish a print now, but without fail, at the end of every single print, the filament is stuck and the nozzle is blocked. Every. Time. The last one was the worst. I spent a good hour just trying to get the hotend clear again.

Am I missing something obvious? Or is it just bad luck with the roll? I really don't want to toss a whole spool, but I’m officially stumped.

Any advice would be massively appreciated!
