Is there any good "base defend" game on PC?

I’m looking for a single-player game that combines base building with first-person (FPS) combat.

The main thing I want is to be able to build my own base relatively quickly, without spending hours grinding resources. The building system should be straightforward and not overly complex.

At the same time, I’m looking for solid FPS combat where I actively defend my base myself using weapons. Ideally, there should be regular attacks or larger fights so the base actually matters.

I’m not interested in multiplayer-focused games — I’m specifically looking for something that works well as a single-player experience.

Any recommendations that fit this?
