Can Luteal Dose Lexapro mute my positive emotions?
Hi, I’ve been taking luteal phase dosing of 5mg Lexapro a few days a month during luteal phase only, typically anywhere from 2-6 days tbh I don’t usually need it more often than that. It’s truly been a lifesaver, but I’ve been struggling with anhedonia and general lack of joy the last year. I also don’t have any anxiety which I used to suffer from.
I just realized that the Lexapro blocks my really bad feelings, but it might be blocking my positive emotions too? I still cry and feel sad, so I definitely am not entirely flat or emotionless. But has anyone experienced a loss of positive emotions?
I’m going to be speaking with my doctor about this, so can update later, but I’m pretty devastated at the possibility that the one thing that has been a lifesaver raft for me in this situation might be causing me other issues :(
I’ve tried BCs, and four other SSRI/SNDIs with no luck. Has anything else worked for anyone?
