Germany to UK/London

I’m currently based in Germany working in front-office financial services, earning around €110k gross. My wife earns a similar amount. We’re both non-German and don’t speak German fluently, which limits our long-term options here.

We’re considering a move to London, mainly for better career prospects and more flexibility in the job market. However, I’m concerned about the financial side, especially given how expensive London is (rent, childcare, etc. - we have two young kids not yet in school).

Would the career prospects living in an international / English speaking environment justify such a move? Woud love to here you thoughts on this.
