Lack of friends

Some background info I’m 24F from a MENA background. I’ve lived in the west since I was around 7 years old. My family never really mixed/tried to be outgoing with others from our background and at the time there wasn’t a lot of us. My father was very overly protective and abusive so my sibling and I were never allowed to hang out with people resulting in us having no friends except coworkers but you all know what that means (they’re not really friends). We’re now at marriage age which is proving difficult for other reasons which I may make a post on another time and luckily they’re mingling a little more now but I really am embarrassed of the fact that neither of us have friends through really no fault of our own. I’m embarrassed that people/ will wonder why no “strangers” aka friends of ours show up at our wedding. The other girls we know in our circle are younger than us so they’re not friends. I’m also embarrassed if my husband knows I have no friends he will think there’s something wrong with me/I’m easy to manipulate. Help
