Standing on reformer in Level 1 classes - is this allowed?

Advice/Questions

This is the second time I have been in a Level one class where the instructor had us standing fully on the reformer- doing squats and standing splits with ONE red spring. I immediately said “I’m not comfortable with this” and she rolled her eyes and told me I could do it on my knees instead. One knee on the gray sandpaper bar is NOT comfortable at all. She did not offer a regression, I had to specifically ask for one and then someone else chimed in asking for a regression as well.

After she moved to the third exercise with us fully standing with both feet on the reformer I said “I signed up for a level one class and I am not comfortable with this” and walked out in the middle of class. Now the front desk is gaslighting me and saying the instructor “completely spaced which class she was teaching and she’s so sorry” and won’t answer my question on what is corporate policy on standing on the reformer so that I know which classes I can book safely.

I have severe vestibular nerve damage and it will never be safe for me to stand on a reformer- which is why I would not ever book a class that allows that personally and I don’t want to slow down people who DO want that option!
