[Data] Hublot is #15 by volume on the grey market but #8 by total value — some numbers that might surprise the haters

Discussion

Hublot gets dunked on constantly but the grey market tells a different story.

only 264 listings in last 2 months 1.5% volume share, rank #15. but by total dollar value? #8 at $3.3M — ahead of Vacheron Constantin, Grand Seiko and Jaeger-LeCoultre.

average listing price is ~$16,685. that's higher than Rolex (~$15k) and nearly 4x Omega (~$4.6k).

the low volume is interesting though. could read it two ways:

  • bullish: people who buy Hublot don't flip them. they actually wear and keep them. less supply = prices hold
  • bearish: demand is so low that sellers don't even bother listing. if nobody's buying why post it

probably a mix of both. Hublot doesn't have the broad appeal of Rolex or Omega so fewer people buy them in the first place. but the ones who do seem to hold on — and when pieces do hit the market, they're priced with confidence not desperation.

either way, $3.3M in total value from just 264 listings is a flex most "respected" brands in this sub can't match.
