The Price of Freedom: How will the Cohort (especially Nephis) react to Sunny’s selfishness?

When Sunny recovers his fate and everyone remembers him, will his actions have consequences among the cohort members? From what’s been said, the battle against the First Seeker wasn't easy, and he—as one of the strongest—left them for selfish reasons. Kai and Effie will probably be upset but will eventually forgive him. I don’t think Jet cares, nobody cares what Mordret thinks, and Cassie was an accomplice. But what about Nephis? This would be the third time he’s abandoned her, and this was the most selfish of all. Not to mention, the motive could shake their romantic relationship, as it suggests he doesn't entirely trust her.
