Is it normal for a family member to dress exactly like the bride?

Yesterday I went to my cousin’s wedding, and the groom’s sister showed up in what I can only describe as full bridal attire.

I’m not exaggerating , same shade saree as the bride, similar hairstyle, multiple bridal ornaments… at one point people were literally asking if there were two weddings happening.

I thought maybe it was just a one-time thing, but at the reception (nalla vaathil), she somehow managed to show up in an outfit even grander than the bride’s.

I was honestly so mad on the bride’s behalf. Like… how do you even think that’s okay?

But here’s the part that surprised me: the bride was completely unbothered. She looked genuinely happy the entire time, the groom was really sweet to her, and none of this seemed to affect her at all.

Meanwhile I was standing there internally judging and occasionally glaring at the sister like it was my personal mission 😭

In the end, I didn’t say anything because the bride clearly didn’t care, which honestly felt like a power move. Respect to her for not letting anything ruin her day.

Still though… I need to ask: Is this normal or was this as weird as it felt?
