Archive on old save?

Hello!

I just reinstalled this game and had an old save from before the update with the archive.

I'm on fall of year 2 with significant progress and I'm wondering if I will get the archive on an older save. If so, how do I go about this? Talking to Alice isn't doing anything and I gifted her an item that was labeled to be taken to Alice and nothing happens.

I want to know if the Archive will click in somehow in my game or if I need to start over, which I'm trying to avoid!
