Last Minute EFMP Packet - Any Lessons Learned
A few weeks ago my orders got deferred. I went from going overseas unaccompanied (Kuwait) to an OCONUS Accompanied Tour (Hawaii). HRC asked if I'd be able this last minute and I told them that we'd try our best.
We're going through the FMTP Process now for EFMP. For those who haven't done it, if you're on Tricare Select, it's not a great time. We're required to print all medical records, and Doctor visits for the last two years, with my wife's EBH Stuff going back five years. Progress is slow, but we're 95% of the way there now. Meanwhile, a coordinator was assigned, but they are unresponsive. I haven't been impressed with the EFMP Office either. Typical Army Civilian runs an office that uses administrative processes to hinder progress rather than "help carry the ball forward". I'm not in a position to escalate yet, but I'll take care of that when we're 100% uploaded.
Overall, for those who've done an EFMP Packet like this at the last minute. Is there any last-minute advice you can pass my way to help us keep this ball moving down the field? We really want this assignment. It's great for my family, my career, and me. Losing this assignment would, unfortunately, be devastating.
